Launch Pad® Owner Center

Own the Interface. Learn the Setup.

The Launch Pad® changes the surface beneath the lift. This Owner Center helps you set it up correctly, learn the first sessions, troubleshoot common issues and reach the right support path.

Save this page before delivery. The fastest path to a useful first session is correct positioning, secure strap tension and the right lumbar cue.

Under-60-second setup

Position. Route. Tension. Tug test.

Once familiar, the setup is fast. Accuracy comes before speed during the first few sessions.

The Launch Pad positioned on a weight bench01

Position

Center the torso surface on the bench. For barbell pressing, allow the top to extend approximately 1–1.5 inches beyond the bench; for dumbbell or machine work, start flush.

Straps routed around stable bench-frame members02

Route

Thread each strap through the molded torso slot and around a fixed, stable frame member. Avoid adjustment arms, cables, wheels or moving parts.

Launch Pad secured for a controlled pressing session03

Tension

Open the cam, pull out all visible slack and release the lever to lock. The product should not translate when you push it by hand.

The Launch Pad after setup verification04

Tug test

Pull firmly on the product twice before loading. Re-route and re-tension immediately when movement is present.

Launch Pad adjustable lumbar support
The lumbar belongs behind the lower back—not beneath the hips.
The most important positioning cue

Sit in front of the lumbar support—not on it.

Begin seated with the hips immediately in front of the lumbar piece. As you lie back, the support should settle into the natural curve of the lower back. Sitting on top of it changes the intended relationship among the hips, lumbar region and torso surface.

Hips at the edge. Lumbar behind you. Head near the logo.
  • Use the adjustment pin to select the support height that meets your lower-back curve without lifting the hips.
  • Re-check the cue after another athlete changes the lumbar position.
  • When the support feels misplaced, reset the starting hip position before changing height again.
First-session expectations

Different is not the same as wrong.

A meaningful change in contact geometry should not be expected to feel identical to a Standard Flat Bench on the first repetition.

01

Start below normal work weight

Use a load that lets you learn the interface without rushing the setup or forcing unfamiliar depth.

02

Control the eccentric

Descend under control and learn where the torso, lumbar support, head and upper arms meet the product.

03

Use what you control

Greater available depth is not a command to force range that you cannot control or that produces concerning symptoms.

04

Use multiple sessions

Judge the product after controlled practice—not one rushed set at a familiar flat-bench load.

Troubleshooting

Tell us what is not working.

Choose the closest issue. Start with the first resolution path, then contact support when the problem remains unresolved.

Setup and movement

Pause loaded use and reset both straps.

Movement usually requires a frame-routing or tension correction before the next set.

  1. Remove the load and inspect both straps, cams and torso slots.
  2. Route around fixed frame members—not moving hardware.
  3. Pull out all slack, lock each cam and complete two firm tug tests.
  4. Contact support with bench photos when movement remains.
How it fits your training

Use both surfaces for different reasons.

The Launch Pad® is a complementary training surface. It does not erase the value of Standard Flat Bench practice when specificity matters.

Standard Flat Bench

Specificity

Use the familiar planar surface for competition-specific practice, standardized testing and periods where exact flat-bench exposure is the priority.

Performance Interface™

Designed contact geometry

Use The Launch Pad® when the training intention emphasizes shoulder and upper-arm clearance, usable range, torso positioning, contact stability and a different pressing environment.

Research boundary: Three published studies evaluated The Launch Pad®. The acute study did not measure pain, injury incidence or joint forces, and the acute power difference at p = .071 was not statistically significant. Group averages are not guarantees. Launch Pad® findings do not automatically establish Joint Ops™ outcomes. Explore the Research Center →

Questions before the next set

Answers with boundaries.

Product education should make the next action clearer without turning a training product into a medical promise.

Does this replace Standard Flat Bench practice?
No. Standard Flat Bench work remains useful when competition specificity, standardized testing or exact planar-surface practice matters. The Launch Pad® provides a different training surface for a different intention.
Should I use my normal working weight immediately?
Begin conservatively. Learn the contact landmarks, setup, lumbar relationship and controllable range before returning to normal work weights.
What did the studies not measure?
The published studies did not measure pain, injury incidence or joint forces. The acute power difference at p = .071 did not reach statistical significance. Greater acute activation does not by itself prove greater hypertrophy.
Can I train on it and automatically return it?
No automatic used-product trial is promised here. Review the current Refund Policy for the applicable request window, condition requirements, authorization, inspection, approval and timing.
Do the Launch Pad® results prove Joint Ops™ outcomes?
No. Joint Ops™ is a prototype platform in development. The three published studies evaluated The Launch Pad®, and those findings do not automatically transfer to another product.
